Even though it was actually outnumbered by the B-24 Liberator, the B-17 is THE iconic bomber of WW II. Nothing else comes close. We need say nothing about it because the B-17 and the brave young crews that flew are the stuff of legends. Study Wylam’s drawing closely as he has an unbelievable amount of detail you seldom see elsewhere. For instance, he actually notes the corrugated skin that’s under the main wing skins and acts as stiffeners. That’s why there are so many rows of rivets running spanwise. It’s an amazing piece of artwork. Product is a 14x22 drawing ideal for framing.
