Giant Sopwith Camel

Description: A 1/4-scale British WW I fighter

Designed by John Tanzer, the Sopwith Camel is not difficult to build, and assembly at the field is very easy. Both wings are one piece; there aren’t any flying wires to contend with. The Camel has a very short nose, so you should keep all weight as far forward as possible. Even so, I had to add 16 ounces up front, bringing the all-up weight to 18 pounds – still light for its size.
